Playing at Harrah’s Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, a lucky player – who chose to stay anonymous – lined up a royal flush on one of the progressive jackpot-linked poker machines. Using a wager of just $5, the jackpot amounted to $1.6 million.
“That’s the highest amount that Caesars Entertainment has given in New Jersey” said the Director of Table Games at Harrah’s Casino – Michael Zippel.
Overwhelmed with her incredible luck and filled with holiday joy, the winner rewarded the dealer with a staggering $77,000 tip. Combined with other tips, the casino pooled it all together and shared it among the staff, rewarding each with $250.
Being in the right place at the right time, over 25 random casino players also received their share of the jackpot. The anonymous winner went around, giving out $100 bills.
