The New Jersey online casino market continues to show its strength with another record-breaking month in July 2021, bringing in total revenue of $118.7 million.

Thanks, in part, to land-based casino reopening, total gambling revenue in NJ amounted to $450.6 million for July 2021, an overall increase of 70.4% compared to July of last year.

The big revenue winner for online casinos this month is online slots, bringing in $115.6 million. Meanwhile, online poker saw a decrease in revenue, down 36.2% to $3.1 million

For July, the top NJ casino was Borgata Online with $36.5 million in revenue, followed by Golden Nugget at $33.5 million, and Resorts Digital with $23.3 million

What do these numbers mean for the NJ iGaming market’s future?

Jane Bokunewicz, director of the Lloyd Levenson Institute at Stockton University, stated that “This could show that patrons have not lost their appetite for internet gaming products even as they return to the in-person gaming experience, or that more people overall are participating in different gaming options.”

Most analysts predict that NJ’s market will continue to see steady growth throughout 2021. So far, online casinos have seen continued month-to-month growth this year.
