WSOP.com Review

World Series of Poker is one of the most recognizable brands in the poker world. Any player who wants to play online poker in New Jersey has likely considered registering an account with the WSOP Casino.

Read to find out about how to start playing many kinds of poker with other poker lovers!

Since it opened in the dying months of 2013, WSOP has retained a solid amount of traffic, thus guaranteeing regular games for its players.

WSOP Casino Bonus Offers

Despite WSOP Casino not being a conventional casino, you can still claim a range of bonuses and promotions when you play with them.

With so many other casinos now unveiling dedicated poker rooms, WSOP has had to offer bonuses to retain its market share.

In order to help you get the most out of your first visit at WSOP.com, we’ve put up a special Welcome Offer. Included in our Welcome Package are:

Play for $50 and get $50 back

To brighten your day, we’re offering you $50 in free play. Start reaping the rewards of being a member of the best real money poker site in the world by making a deposit.

Deposit Match Bonus: 100% up to $1000 Deposit Match Bonus

We can help you out with some more money. We thought so, too. Start earning APPs in our exciting cash games and tournaments today and we’ll match your initial deposit 100% up to $1000. The more you play, the more you win.

Freerolls for the Week of Welcome

If you deposit at least $10, you’ll be entered into seven $100 freerolls just for signing up. Every night, you’ll have a new opponent to face off against for the chance to win. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 4 p.m., and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7 p.m., freerolls are held. You only have seven days left to use your tournament tickets, so don’t delay.

WSOP Casino Promotions

WSOP also offers a selection of standing promotions. Both new and existing players can take advantage of these standing promotions.

$100K Sundays

With WSOP.com, the weekend’s end doesn’t have to be so depressing. If we have our way, Sundays are the most enjoyable day of the week. Even more so with the addition of our new $100,000 guaranteed weekly tournament* on Sundays.

Every weekend, we’re offering a $100,000 guarantee… Everything about Sundays is now better.

Starting at 6 p.m., the $100K Sunday Tournament has a $320 buy-in.

Your credit card balance is less than $320? You got this. There are freerolls and other ways to get into this event in the lobby.

WSOP Casino VIP Program/Rewards Program

The loyalty program is known as Poker Rewards. You gain higher ranks within the loyalty program through earning Action Player Points, known as APPs. For every $1 paid in tournament fees and rake, you’ll make 2 APPs.

All APPs are reset at the start of every month.

You need 200 APPs per month to reach the bronze tier. This is equivalent to $100. There’s also an exclusive Champions’ Club for players who earned 20,000 APPs in a single calendar year.

APPs are then converted into WSOP Points. These are APPs multiplied by four. WSOP points can then be converted into cash, with no restrictions attached. 100 WSOP points are worth $1.

Players who don’t earn any points within six months will lose all their accumulated points.

WSOP Games Selection

Cash games, Sit and Go tournaments, and multi-table matches are available at WSOP under standard no-limit Texas Hold ’em rules. You won’t have too many problems finding a table, even during off-peak hours.

You will find pot-limit games, as well as Omaha and Stud, but it’s tough to find enough players to fill a table outside of peak hours.

There are special invitational tournaments every day, with Sunday offering the most lucrative ones. These are huge tournaments with small buy-ins and prizes, so the competition is stiff.

Due to changes in the law, WSOP now supports playing poker with people in Nevada and Delaware, thus increasing the player pool.

WSOP Casino Banking Options

WSOP offers a variety of different ways to make deposits and withdrawals.

PayPal is available. This is by far the most popular way of playing with WSOP.  You may only use it as a withdrawal option if you initially used it to make a deposit, though.

Other deposit methods include:

  • Bank transfer
  • Credit/debit card
  • 7-Eleven PayNearMe

You’re limited to checks, Neteller, and bank transfers with withdrawal options. The only way to get around this is to use an alternative withdrawal option, like PayPal, and you can request the money to be sent back to the same deposit option.

Most payments take between three and four days to process. If you want a check, you can expect to wait for around eight days to receive it.

You’ll need to go through the verification process before you can make any form of withdrawal, though.

Platform and Software

WSOP is powered by Dragonfish software. This is dedicated poker software designed initially by 888 Holdings, which you’ve likely heard of.

You will need to download dedicated software to play, though. There’s no browser version of the WSOP Casino.

Note that the software is rarely updated, so the lobby looks outdated.

Site Features and User Experience

It must be said that the WSOP interface hasn’t changed much since November 2013. Many customers report that the site is a little tired and worn.

However, the amount of action compensates for the lack of an ultra-modern site and playing interface.

Mobile Casino

The WSOP online casino mobile app is available on both iOS and Android. You can manage your account fully on both versions of the app.

WSOP has applied the same layout to the app as you’ll find on the desktop, so switching between the two is seamless.
